Do yourself a favor and spend sometime with Gary Nored at Big Bend Ranch State Park. You will learn more about the park than you ever imagined was known. Gary is Voluntee at the park, he's been there for almost two years. The State should be paying the man. He will make your trip there an unforgetable experience and you will learn some things you had no idea about.
